Let Me Tell You About the Time I Read My Own Book to My Class!
Hey everyone! It’s me, Naevia! Let me tell you about the time I got to read MY book to my whole class—it was amazing!
How It Started
One day, my teacher, Ms. Cash, said we were having an Author’s Chair day where kids could read their stories. Then she asked, “Naevia, would you like to read your book?” At first, I panicked—what if I messed up? But then I thought, ‘Wait, I wrote this book!’ So, I said YES!
The Big Moment
All day, I was so jittery. My friends kept saying, “Naevia, you got this!” which helped a little. But when it was finally my turn, my hands were sweaty, and my heart was racing! I took a deep breath and started reading.
As I read, I forgot all about being nervous. My classmates were hanging on every word! When I finished, everyone clapped and cheered—even Ms. Cash said, “That was amazing, Naevia!” I felt like a real author (which I guess I am!).
The Best Part
Afterward, my friends asked tons of questions: “How did you come up with the idea?” and “Will you write another book?” I told them writing is like a magical adventure, and I definitely want to write more.
Reading my book to my class was one of the best days ever! If you ever get a chance to share something you love, do it—even if you’re scared. It might turn out amazing!
